A producer-driven voice for Saskatchewan beef

Our purpose is to promote and develop the Saskatchewan beef cattle industry and act as the voice of Saskatchewan producers. SCA strategically invests in research, advises government and national groups on issues relevant to Saskatchewan beef producers and keeps producers connected through district representation and timely communication.

Your Levy Dollars at Work

Why Saskatchewan Cattle Association Exists

SCA is governed by the Agri-Food Act 2004 and the Cattle Development Plan Regulations. Funding is supported through a $5.25 per head check-off. Of this amount, $2.50 is a non-refundable national levy remitted to the Canadian Beef Cattle Check-Off Agency in support of the National Beef Strategy.

Every dollar is tracked and strategically invested in research, engagement with national agencies and government, and to provide resources and information for producers. Our purpose is to support and strengthen the Saskatchewan beef industry with transparency and accountability to the producers who fund our work.
